The REACH Quotient- Team Awareness

A team is an interdependent group of people who have:

  • complementary skills and

  • are committed to a shared goal

  • and approach

  • for which they hold themselves mutually accountable

To be build a stronger team it is important to understand the complimentary skills of the team members. This is where the REACH Quotient assessment comes into play. Groove Management has build an interactive workshop that helps participant build greater self-awareness while also building team-awareness. We are all unique and it is our uniqueness that can create a competitive advantage. Helping teams to leverage team-awareness is the overarching goal of our Team REACH Workshop.

The REACH Quotient Assessment

The REACH Quotient is a 95-item survey, based on a multi-dimensional framework that measures two primary motivational factors and ten supporting behavioral characteristics (referred to as dimensions). The primary factors, Achievement Drive and Relational Drive, are presented on the widely-used 2x2 grid format, describing an individual based on one of four unique personality styles: 

  • Consultative Counselor

  • Adaptive Coach

  • Directive Driver

  • Contemplative Advisor

REACH Chutes

REACH Chutes is our interactive team challenge that leverages personality style to accomplish a timed task. Team members are given chutes that correspond to their REACH Profile Style and are tasked with rolling 3 golf balls across all chutes in the shortest possible time. There are additional rules that complicate the task.

The interactive task requires teams to tap into the diverse styles and approaches of team members to solve a challenge in real time. The activity requires leadership, planning, communication, coordination, time management and patience.
