Myers Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®)
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) assessment has helped millions of people worldwide gain insights about themselves and how they interact with others—and improve how they communicate, learn, and work. It provides a powerful framework for building better relationships, driving positive change, harnessing innovation, and achieving excellence. The MBTI assessment makes Carl Jung's theory of psychological type both understandable and highly practical by helping individuals identify their preferences in four areas.
MBTI® is the world's most popular personality assessment tool. As a result there is an incredible amount of data and research that support the findings. The MBTI® is often mistakenly referred to as a test. It is NOT a test. It is an indicator. The difference being that a test measures aptitude whereas an indicator identifies preference. An individual's MBTI is an indication of their preference for behavior in a given situation. The assessment can be a powerful tool when coaching an individual or a team.
Groove Management utilizes the MBTI® with coaching clients to help them further understand their strengths. Improving self awareness through the MBTI® can help individuals to make career choices and to hone their leadership style. We also use the MBTI when working with teams to highlight diversity of thought within a team and to improve situational decision making.
